Privacy Policy

Revornix is committed to providing a smooth experience for collecting, analyzing, and sharing information. We take user privacy and data security seriously. Because Revornix offers both an open-source edition and an official cloud edition, this policy is divided into two parts.

We are committed to keeping Revornix open source. You can choose to self-host and use most Revornix features for free.

Revornix Open-Source Edition

Data Collection

As the provider of open-source software, we do not proactively collect personal information from you or your end users. You retain full control over your deployment data and are responsible for it.

If user information is exposed due to your deployment, configuration, operations, or third-party integrations, the responsibility lies with the actual deployer or operator.

Permissions

If the project requests the following permissions or system capabilities, they are used only for the corresponding features:

  • Network access: Loads remote content or makes API requests.
  • Local storage access: Saves or reads user-defined settings, documents, sections, and similar data.
  • Notification permissions: Sends reminder messages. We avoid non-essential notifications whenever possible. With Revornix’s decoupled notification design, users can choose which notifications to receive and can even configure their own notification sources and targets.

AI Component Data Transfer

Some Revornix features rely on AI services. When you use AI capabilities such as document parsing, audio transcription, content understanding, generation, or question answering, related data may be transmitted to third-party AI service providers based on your actual configuration in order to fulfill the requested feature.

The data that may be transmitted includes, but is not limited to:

  • Document content you upload, including website content, transcription results, notes, Markdown content, or other text content in files
  • Original audio content from audio files you upload or process
  • Prompts, instructions, and contextual content that you actively submit during AI chat, generation, summarization, or retrieval workflows

Such data may be sent to providers you choose, enable, or configure, including but not limited to:

  • OpenAI
  • Google
  • Moonshot AI
  • ByteDance Volcano Engine
  • Alibaba Bailian
  • Other model or AI service providers configured by you

Revornix itself does not proactively use the above documents, audio, or related content for model training. If we introduce self-developed model training or similar capabilities in the future, we will update the policy and notify users in a timely manner. Without your explicit authorization, or if you explicitly refuse, we will not use your relevant data for training.

Unless otherwise required by laws or regulations, or necessary to comply with a lawful request from a competent authority, we will not proactively disclose your private content. You should also review and comply with the privacy policies, data processing rules, and service terms of the relevant third-party AI providers.

Third-Party Services

Revornix relies on certain third-party services, such as model providers and Apple APIs. Please refer to the privacy policies of those services. Except for data processing necessary to provide features you actively use, we do not proactively send personal information to third parties without user consent. In particular, when cloud-based large language model services are used, conversation content, document content, or audio content may be sent to the relevant provider for processing. Users, or authorized Revornix distributors, are responsible for understanding and complying with these third-party privacy policies.

Open Source Notice

Revornix is an open-source project. Anyone can view, modify, or deploy the code. We encourage users to self-host and adjust privacy-related implementations to match their own compliance requirements.
